Is it time for Butterflies to explore why the U.S. still has not cracked the code of soccer success? We've been promoting the game for 50+ years, but have little to show for it.
In my opinion it’s about some of these qualitative factors such as having a population obsessed with the game. For what it’s worth though, the authors of Soccernomics think it’s only a matter of time before the US becomes a soccer powerhouse
I hope so. But "experts" have been saying that for years, even decades. You'd think with our population and resources, we could show better on the international stage. But hopefully it IS just a player or two or coach away from happening....
